Day 16:
Collecting data trying to get back up to speed.
Day 17: July 16, 2010
Well I've been gone for a couple of days (sprained my ankle and a teacher's workshop) so I'm back! Today I've been collecting data and finally having enough data in order to make some kind of conclusions. The engineer I work with is coming back from vacation and I promised to have some data... and I will. When asking around what type of data do people like, I get graphs and pictures as their response. And as I am going through the data, I'm realizing that when looking at data I like to have both tables and graphs. I believe that numbers or a graph exclusively can show you what is working or not, however, having both working together allows you to see an even clearer picture. They both give more of a detailed description of how bad or good something is instead of from one perspective. I now see why is it important to know how to use and read graphs and tables. Having my students understand this is important, and it is a new perspective for me to understand also. I kind of blow fast through those types of chapters, but now this gives me a deeper understanding of it.
I'll be doing work over the weekend to catch up from the missed day on Wednesday. I may post something that I find interesting in the data.
